Shining Bright

It doesnt seem that long ago I was doing the drive down the M6 to visit my daughter Laura at Warrington University...Its good to see how far she has gone already with her chosen career

During my visits I would often meet her friends and on a couple of occassions the young lady appearing on the youtube would be there, she was one of Laura's best friends for sometime. I recall she was auditioning for the x-factor and had won some music talent show, Laura still has the recording of the song she chose to sing that night.

A few years down the line and this attractive young lady has made it to the charts with the old motown 'Mercy'. Isnt it wonderful for her, hopefully she will keep her head and enjoy her career wherever it may take her

... me and my durdsome reading! I THOUGHT at first she WAS your daughter. ~~duh!! I hope she has the success she deserves. When I was younger I used to live in a house full of semi-"resting" actors, musicians, singers and other creative types... all I realized was that talent is the 1% prerequisite you need to get yourself through the hallowed portals of a showbiz career... the other 99% is pure what the Americans call "chutzpah" ~~ know what I mean..~~??

ps do you know what she's doing now?

SURELY she is working professionally in some capacity? even if it's cruise ships she's got the talent if she is typing letters in a back room at H Samuel she deserves her neck wrung!

She has appeared on the Jools Holland show some youtube clips of her on there..She reminds me a little of Lulu...dont know why????? That house full of creativity sounds interesting you must write about it one day, Im sure there are lots of stories from that time...

Hi Auds
Long time no hear: thanks for getting in touch again. Why no posting... c'mon! I'm surviving after that move but there is STILL stuff of mine I really ought to take at the old place which I'm round the corner from right now so I'm just about to go in there at 11 o'clock at night (after a stupid day that involved MISSING Mother Hubbard's lunch as much as a lot of other stupidity) I just want to get OUT of that old place so I can NEVER THINK ABOUT IT AGAIN!!

All the very best to you: hope all's well at your end. Take care ;->...!
