BE A MAN ABOUT IT

I have to admit Im in a bit of a flunk, Im finding it so difficult to write anything just now. I guess Im calling on my blog buddies to send some positive energies out into the universe although Im not sure if its me or my ex that needs them..I despair.

There was mirth and merriment in the air, Im heading for New York, Rita was heading for Cyprus to visit her best friend who lives over there and Simona and her boyfriend have booked a week in Barbados...sounds good, is good until their father decided that he would just call them as witnesses for the divorce. My solicitor asked me what did I think or have to say...Well nothing. I had thought this man was beyond dissapointing me or surprising me anymore, but no.

He in his wisdom has also decided to call Alan and Ritas boyfriend Darren. It would be laughable if it werent so pathetic and stressful for the younger ones. I think what he is hoping for is some crass combined version of the Gerry Springer and Jeremy Kyle show all rolled into one to take place in the court room

Emotional blackmail, clutching at straws are terms that have been used. The case may now be postponed again in order to allow the girls to go on their holiday but live with the stress of this in the background or it will go ahead meaning they will have to attend and change their plans.

Me Im hoping that no judge in the land would see the need for 2 children out of family of 7 be involved in financial aspects of their parents divorce and that it will go ahead without them..

In the meantime Im off to stick some pins in my voodoo dolls..Only kidding I feel he is so low, cowardly and panicking he is not even worth that amount of my energy

There!!!!! Sorry Im blabbing on about this again, but its good to get it down in black and white..I used to have a rule for myself either deal with it, dump it or delegate it but dont moan...I think Im just broke one of my own rules....lol

Dedicated to the man clutching to straws, perhaps he will find that all hes left holding at the end of all this. Who knows???

What can I say Auds...what a pathetic sh*t he is. Perhaps you should send him this:-

Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighbouring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death.

The question?....What do women really want? Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, and to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end.

He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: the princess, the priests, the wise men and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer.

Many people advised him to consult the old witch, for only she would have the answer.

But the price would be high; as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged.

The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first.

The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the Knights of the Round Table and Arthur's closest friend!

Young Arthur was horrified. She was hunchbacked and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life.

He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden; but Lancelot, learning of the proposal, spoke with Arthur.

He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life and the preservation of the Round Table.

Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered Arthur's question thus:

What a woman really wants, she answered....is to be in charge of her own life.

Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth and that Arthur's life would be spared.

And so it was, the neighboring monarch granted Arthur his freedom and Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding.

The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed. The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened.

The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, she would henceforth, be her horrible deformed self only half the time and the beautiful maiden the other half.

Which would he prefer? Beautiful during the day....or night?

Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day, a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch? Or, would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day, but by night, a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous intimate moments?

What would YOU do?

What Lancelot chose is below. BUT....make YOUR choice before you scroll down below.
OKAY?

Noble Lancelot said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself.

Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life.

Now....what is the moral to this story?

Scroll down

The moral is.....
If you don't let a woman have her own way....
Things are going to get ugly!

Hugs & positive vibes

Auds, that WAS ruth's assignment! Full marks, 5 stars and double-Excellent.
Maybe if the witchy half of Mrs Lancelot is at a loose end, she could meet up with your loser of a Mr Ex and hang it around his neck! You already know what I think of him, but as to what his & lawyer's tactics are in this, I can't see it. It seems it is just to extract the most aggravation for the longest time possible for as many involved as posssible. Hateful. Which does sound judgmental, I know, but I think I can see the right from the wrong here, and that is my sole criterion.
One day it'll be all over and there'll be peace, but not for him. That seems sadly impossible, because he is seems one of those who just can't really listen. And if we can't listen, then we can't ever be happy and we are not really even fully alive.
He'll get what has to come to him, eventually. Don't let it dampen any of your plans, don't give him a millimeter of victory. March on! Or, Fly on!!

Hang on I don't quite get this: why should you need witnesses in a divorce?

Surely if people wanna split up, up they split. Simple: right?

Or is this about the Devil Dollars... yes?

Thanks Stewart your not being judgemental. Its about behaviours at the end of the day, he has good qualities as well but this massive self destruct button too, everybody gets affected by the fall out unfortunately, humans can be complex at times cant they ???

Fingers crossed I should hear before I go whether it will be postponed or if it will go ahead.either way I intend to fly and am encouraging the girls to focus on keeping to their plans.

Have you picked your pictures yet I wonder???

Thanks for the words of encouragement xxxxx Auds

Hi Gleds, the divorce is a given not an issue having been apart for 8 years , and sadly its not even about the devil dollars in reality, its about control and power, money is just the tool to exercise that control, the use of the children too. If the children were younger I know I would be waving the white flag and letting it go, but they are adults now and have their own voices so despite the threat its a no go for both them and I, which will come as a shock for him I should imagine.

In the meantime life goes on, despite it all...just cant think to write!!! But I will be back with some lovely shots of NY City and all its delights..

Thanks for popping in... Auds x

Point taken Auds. I'm sorry, but I guess I am taking sides in this.
Humans are nothing if not complex, all of us. Hermann Hesse wrote "Man is like an onion, made up of a thousand iteguments". To me, it seems more like a very large artichoke, with a thousand leaves.
And there's always the occasional turnip.
Bless you for still being able to distinguish the good bits from the bad, even after all he's put you through.
I keep hearing the Supremes!!!
